Isolation Ridge Cabernet Sauvignon
2009 Isolation Ridge Cabernet Sauvignon
Gary Walsh The Wine Front
"Dark chocolate, mulberry, red fruits, gum leaf, lovely vanilla and cocoa oak and perfume. Medium weight with an excellent spread of chocolaty tannin, flows on for ages. Lingers sweetly. Beautiful. "

2008 Isolation Ridge Cabernet Sauvignon
James Halliday - Australian WIne Companion
"Lovely colour, very bright; essencey cassis aromas come to the fore on the bouquet, but are underpinned beautifully by savoury ironstone minerality; the palate shows dark fruit in abundance, again underscored by savoury complexity and structure that can only be described as serious; certainly assured of a long and very bright future, this wine is a bargain for price. 2008 Isolation Ridge Cabernet Sauvignon
Gary Walsh, The Wine Front
"Isolation Ridge sounds like such an unhappy and uncomfortable place to wind up doesnt it? Its just over yonder from Naughty Corner. Blackcurrant and red fruits, mint, dark chocolate and cedary oak with some slightly earthy and olivaceous flavours in the mix. It presents as being a just a little over medium bodied but full of flavour and impact. I noted a subtle lemony accent which happily subsides as it builds richness and depth with air. Particularly attractive tannins here, fine grained, flush fitting and persistent. Has length and a happy chocolaty finish. A lot of wine and class for the money. "

2008 Isolation Ridge Cabernet Sauvignon
Jeremy Oliver - The Australian Wine Annual
"Long and elegant, this tightly shaped cabernet has a vibrant, sweetly fruited bouquet of small red and black berries backed by cedar/vanilla oak, hints of dried herbs and underbrush. It’s long, smooth and restrained, presenting a measured expression of deepish berry/plum fruit knit with fine, powdery tannins and smoky cedary oak."

Tony Harper Brisbane News
"Elegant, complex and spookily like a fine Bordeaux, this a wine that talks volumes about the style and strength of the 2008 vintage in the west, and the suitability of the isolation Ridge vineyard for cabernet. When most of the top W.A. cabernets are sneaking up around the $100 mark, this seems ridiculously good value. "

2007 Isolation Ridge Cabernet Sauvignon
WIne Business Monthly - Wine 100 Nick Stock
"Dense, ripe and fruit-laden this fuses oak spice with concentrated plum fruits, some florals in the background too. The palate delivers a peppery edge amid black cherry and plum, tannins build and assert the finish. "

2005 Isolation Ridge Cabernet Sauvignon
James Halliday - Australian Wine Companion 2009
"Isolation Ridge Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2005 Powerful black-fruited cabernet, with pronounced, slightly dry, tannins which need to soften; if left alone for three-plus years, should come through. "

2002 Isolation Ridge Cabernet Sauvignon
Peter Forrestal - The Sunday Times - 50 Summer Wines
"I invariably prefer the Isolation Ridge Shiraz. But this time the cabernet won out. It has an appealing dried herb aromas with a touch of lavender, clean, fresh, cassis and cedary oak."

2001 Isolation Ridge Cabernet Sauvignon
Houn Hook - Sydney Morning Herald
"The various rieslings and shiraz under this WA label have been consistently impressive over the past 10 years. But the excellent 2001 vintage has also produced first-class cabernet. Rich blackberry fruit flavours laced with strong hints of earth, cedar, leather and chocolate. Firm, dry tannins underpin the palate and add length to the finish. My sample was even better on the day after opening, an indication that decanting and breathing is required for best effect."
