Smith Cullam & Olmo's Reward

While Isolation Ridge remains the quintessential expression of our site, certain Riesling and Syrah blocks in great harvests call out to the family with an even more specific, even mystical, charm. When we taste the fruit, it’s almost like viewing an aspect of Isolation Ridge through an even narrower prism. It’s a glimpse of something singular and exhilarating, and where we see it, we capture it in our SmithCullam wines. Olmo’s Reward is a similar act of alchemy, based on our third pillar variety: Cabernet Franc. The Bordeaux varieties thrive on Isolation Ridge, and it was an early dream of founders Judi Cullam and Barrie Smith to unearth their own, distinctly Frankland Estate version of an elegant, harmonious, medium-bodied blend.
